Last day of the month. The official start of the Christmas season begins tomorrow, though with the way I feel it might be a few days before I can think about decorating.
Coughed my brains out last night. So by 5:30 this morning, any hope of sleep was over. Stayed in bed, though, until Hubbie was ready to get up around 7:30.
Showered and dressed, then flopped on the couch again. Sis accompanied Mother to our house around 9 a.m., and we put a pot of chicken on to cook for soup. Mother diced the veggies for it, and I did the rest.
When the chicken was cooked, Sis added noodles, and we were ready for helpings of this soothing meal. After all the rich food of the past couple of days, the soup really hit the spot.
After lunch, Hubbie cleared away Thanksgiving decorations, and brought in and set up the two Christmas trees, while Mother, Sis, and I worked on a couple of Christmas angel crafts from instructions Mother and I got at the Extension Homemakers Holiday Open House last weekend.
One of the angels is made using what are called angel wing paperclips, which are large pretzel shaped clips, and the other one is made with Christmas wire ribbon. They are both cute, and could be used either as tree ornaments, or ornaments for Christmas packages.
After that, Mother and Sis worked on a holiday jigsaw puzzle, and I grabbed an afghan to hunker down on the couch in the den and read newspapers from the past few days. Hubbie watched a football game.
Later, we each chose what we wanted for supper...soup for Mother and me, sandwiches for Hubbie and Sis...and then we watched holiday movies from the Hallmark Channel.
Afterward, Sis accompanied Mother to her house, and we were not long heading to bed.
