These photos go from the sublime to the ridiculous. The top snapshot is a blossom from an eight-foot-tall lily tree growing in the flower bed behind Mother's house. This morning, I snapped a photo of 4'11" Mother beside it, and she was dwarfed.The second photo shows a cluster of a variety of grape tomatoes growing in one of our raised veggie gardens.
The third photo is of what might be mistaken for a lake or sea monster, but is in fact a strange formation in the crook of a tree limb. Stepdaughter brought it last weekend, thinking we might use it in the whimsical garden, which we probably will.
